To
introduce myself, I was born and lived in England until the year of my 22nd Birthday,
I was an avid diver and for as long as I can remember have longed to live and
work within the regions of the ocean.
I carried out my first dive when I was 14 in Bali, Indonesia and became a dive
master at the age of 21. I left England and went to my first job, which happened
to be in Turkey, then on the Mediterranean for 4 months, before moving to Majorca,
part of the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain.
From here I moved to the Caribbean, for 15 months, where I was able to work
with the North Atlantic Humpback Whales during their migration to the Dominican
Republic.
It still remains as one of the most incredible times that I have had.
From the Caribbean I made my way to a colder climate off the North West coast
of Norway, here I was involved in the study of Sperm Whales. Norway is a captivating
country with a wonder of natural resources. After six months in Norway, I moved
on to the Pacific to a group of Islands known as Palau. Palau is situated near
to Micronesia and hosts one of the most diverse marine environments I have ever
dived in.
After spending fifteen months in Palau, I moved on to Tahiti, French Polynesia
that is where I reside at the moment. French Polynesia is a remote destination
that contains a wonderful array of both fish and pelagic animals that will often
come across your path.
In between my work, I travel to a variety of other countries including the
Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia to name but a few.
